Fort Palmetto Park

This park is close to the bay that leads right into the ocean. There is a great walking trail with views at the end of the Dewees Inlet. No rentals available at this park so come early and enjoy a picnic outside in this Civil War era park.

Palmetto Islands County Park

This park is enormous at 943 acres. It has paved trails and access to fishing and kayaking in the river and inlet. The park has a large playground for the kids as well as a waterpark in the summer. This park has six different facilities available to rent and you can do so at this link

Smythe Park

Located just north of town, this park is right on a pond. There is a picnic table with grill available on a first come, first serve basis. The kids have a playground with a pirate theme too. Enjoy a relaxing walk, fishing at the pond, and really no restrictions.

Governor’s Park

Also on the north side of town, this park has baseball and soccer fields. There is a dog park and playground too, with trails on which you can run/walk. The park has a bridge running above/around it providing for a unique view of the surrounding area and water.

Pirate Park

The theme of the park is in the name. This park is perfect for kids as it has a huge pirate ship with a slide, swings, and plenty of seating for parents. As it is located on Daniel Island (close to Smythe Park), the park is privately owned.
